What exactly did the term "original text" of the New Testament mean in the past? What does it mean now? What is the relation of "original text" to the concept of "Canon" of the New Testament? The precise nature of this term is dealt with in the article The Multivalence Of The Term "Original Text" In New Testament Textual Criticism, (E. Jay Epps, Harvard Theological Review, 1999, Volume 92, No. 3. pp. 245-281).

The article is added in Textual Integrity Of The Bible.
