Written in ḥijāzī script.
Contents
The translation of the inscription is:
- God, pardon A
- l-Walīd bin Maʿbud and forgive
- his sins. And inscribed
- in the year eighty. And he seeks from God
- dwelling in Paradise and message-carrying (?)
- angels.
Comments
The long, slender and slightly inclined form of writing is reminiscent of ḥijāzī script.
