The translation of the inscription is given below:
- O God, be
- pleased with ʿAbd
- al-Raḥmān bin
- Sufyān bin ʿAmr.
- Amen! Lord
- of the worlds. And
- ʿAbd al-Raḥmān wrote this
- inscription ten nights
- remaining (in the month of) Jumāda
- al-ākhir in the year
- six (and) eighty.
