Characteristics
Transparent light green. Excellent condition. Diameter = 2.0 cm.; weight = 2.18 gms.

This glass dīnār half weight may be from the latter part of Caliph ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Marwān's rule when coinage reforms came into effect, for the gold coinage, in 77 AH / 696-697 CE (compare this with glass dīnār weight, c. 86 AH / 705 CE, from the governorship of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Marwān).
